Egyption rifles

SAFN semiautomatic rifle in 7.92 x 57 mm (superseded by the Hakim) purchased from Belgium (FN).

Hakim semiautomatic rifle in 7.92 x 57 mm, 1955. Indigenous rifle built with tooling purchased from Sweden in 1954. Essentially a Swedish Ag-42B (see Swedish rifle page).

Rashid carbine, improved "Hakim", in 7.62 x 39 mm. Used by Egypt in the period during the re tooling for the AK rifle series (1959-60). It can be said that this rifle was, for Egypt, the precursor of the AK series.

Rashid carbine, same gun as above but re-united with all it's missing parts!
