Russia/USSR rifles

These rifles were used by at least 26 countries in over 226 variations or maker marks and that may not be all of them! All of this occured between 1891 and the middle of the cold war.



Russian (Imperial) Mosin Nagant 1891 rifle in 7.62 x 54 cal. No scabbard for the bayonet as it was intended to remain mounted on the rifle at all times.

Mosin Nagant carbine 1891/44. A folding bayonet. This model was exported to many Eastern Bloc countries as well as being manufactured in some of them


Mosin Nagant carbine 1891/59. No provision for a bayonet (an 1891/44 without the bayonet). This may be a recent Russian "fake" or a cut down 91/30.


Russian training rifle in 22 cal.


SKS semi automatic carbine in 7.62 x 39 cal.


SVT 40 automatic rifle in 7.62 x 54 cal.
